Turning Global Goals Into Community Action

The SDGs or Sustainable Development Goals developed by the UN in 2015 are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all by 2030.

They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve them all.

Click on any of the goals below to learn more about the SDGs and how Tairāwhiti’s First Impact House, Tāiki e! brings our community together to drive action towards the goals.

Collaborative community led projects are categorised under each goal. We’re constantly looking to grow our impact network in order to improve outcomes for our Whenua & Whānau. Get in touch to join current projects or to submit your ideas for impact.
